Which companies tithe

Giving should come from our hearts. This seems to be confirmed in the book of Malachi: the prophet confronted the Jews with their sins of disobedience, using their lack of tithing as an example. Tithe on gross or net? That truth is that it is beyond the realm of possibilities that one has the ability to out give God.

Even if I give the whole of my worth to Him, He will find a way to give back to me much more than I gave. If a business strongly believes in honoring God from the increase He provides, that business should consider tithing from the gross profits and trust that God will provide what is needed after the business pays any creditors and the other expenses.

Many times business profits are tied up in noncash assets, such as building, equipment, stocks, or product. An answer to the tithing question that some Christians businesses have chosen to follow is to give a partial ownership in the business as a tithe.

Although there is a biblical admonition to give from the firstfruits, or the increase of the business, a business should not give from the portion that belongs to any creditors or any employees.

Each employer should then tithe on the amount they receive as a salary. Corporation tithing Corporations, unlike businesses, are usually owned by a conglomerate of people from all walks of life and different religious beliefs. Since one person usually does not own all the stock in a corporation, an individual might consider giving a tenth of the increase in his or her individual stock in the corporation to the Lord. Tithing is a power move. Shifting away from thoughts of lack to blessing someone else shifts your mental state.

A mindset focused on giving, is attractive to wealth. The act of focusing on someone else sets off a chain reaction, which requires the universe to do what it was programmed by God to do. Give back to those who give to others.

This is one time when the warm fuzzies are a good, even great thing. Tithing from what you make intentionally provides the space for you to put others ahead of yourself. Go ahead and enjoy the good feeling of knowing that you are a giver and that you can honor God with a portion of what you have. Good feelings attract good clients and money. When you feel great you are more productive and that is great for business too.

My client shared that a few days after completion, she received a call from an old friend who wanted to hire her company to do some work.

When she went to the meeting, she met another gentleman who on discovering they were the same ones who had done all of the free work, wanted to hire them for a major project. God promises that you can put Him to the test. You tithe and He opens the windows of heaven and releases wisdom and opportunities for you to gain more than you gave. You cannot out give God.

Malachi 3: Tithing is a principle with built in blessings. While you can tithe of your experience, time, and cash, nothing tests us more than giving away your money.

John D. Rockefeller Sr. We always think we will become givers when we get more money or pay off a bill. Not so, you become what you practice. Give with your little and as you increase, you will find your desire to give increases as well. Listen to Tony Robbins share why he believes success comes from giving.

It can be to your favorite charity or an organization doing work you believe is providing a resource to others. You can give your time to another entrepreneur or youth who needs the financial support or guidance. Giving is never a bad idea. So if you are in a place to give, then do it. Giving is the most fun you can have with your money—hands down.
